FCRV Campvention 2017

The 2017 FCRV Campvention will be July 9-16 at the Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima, Ohio (easy access off I-75, exit 125) chaired by Great Lakes Regional Directors Dave & Linda Hennie. The theme ‘All Aboard!’ is based on the history of Lima in the development of the steam locomotive.
The cost of Campvention will be $285 per camping unit pre-registration. Second family in the unit will be $135. At-the-gate fees will be $300 per camping unit; $150 for the second family in the unit. 30-amp service with water access. Dump stations are on the grounds. There will also be a honey wagon for a fee.
Friday July 7 & Saturday July 8 will be the early days at $25 per night. Early day arrivals will receive information on self-guided tours of the area as well as activities available in the area (museums, parks, etc.)
Camping will be ‘hobo-by-state/province.’ There are two brick showers/restrooms. As added info, you can see Walmart from the grounds!!
Campvention will begin with the non-denominational church service on Sunday July 9 in the morning with the Opening Ceremony in the evening. ‘Meet & Greet’ Hospitality provided by the Great Lakes Region will follow. An ‘Ice Breaker’ (personal treasure hunt) game will be provided.
Campvention activities will begin Monday morning July 10. The General Membership meeting will be Thursday July 13 in the afternoon. The parade will be Friday morning, July 14, with the Closing Ceremony being Friday evening. The grounds will be vacated by noon on Saturday July 15.
The FCRV Market will be open for chapter projects, personal craft sales, and flea market-type sales. Table fees will be $15 each.
The site-decorating contest sponsored by Geneseo Campground theme will be ‘Bring Your Train To Lima’ which allows participants to create their own train.
