Award of Merit Nomination

This award may be given annually as determined by the Board of Trustees. The purpose of the award is to recognize, reward, and thank Executive Board members for their effort and dedication to FCRV. Nominations will be made by the Regional Directors, the Vice Presidents, and the President. Candidates will be nominated on their accomplishments during just the past January to January (12-month period). All nominations must be submitted using this form and not handwritten.

Chapter of the Year 

The FCRV “Chapter of the Year” Award is given annually to the Chapter that excels in its participation in programs of the Family Campers and RVers, community activities and publicity. Please use this form to report your Chapter activities for the previous calendar year only. Be specific as you narrate the activity of each category. All information must be submitted here, on this form. If chapter is selected as Chapter of the Year, you may be asked to send pictures for display at the upcoming Campvention.  Submission deadline is April 15.

List the membership programs the chapter utilizes (dealer chapter, special campout programs, RV shows, etc.). Number of new members that have joined the chapter in the past year. Include the number of chapter members who have recruited new member(s).
List the activities in this area in which the chapter has participated. Include the activity, mileage or minutes, and the number of members participating.
List the training in which the chapter participated. Give a description of the activity and number of members participating.
Describe the Conservation activities of the chapter, listing the number of members participating.
Describe the Wildlife activities of the chapter, or what the chapter did to support the program, including the number of members participating.
If there are teens in the chapter, describe their activities and the number participating in the activities. If there are no teens in the chapter, describe what the chapter members did to support the Teen Program either at the State/Provincial or National level.
Describe the youth activities of the chapter or what it did to support the program at the State/Provincial or National level.
Describe the Retiree activities in the chapter or what the chapter did to support the Retiree Program at the State/Provincial or National level and state the number of members participating.
Describe the activities of the Chapter that show support of the Scholarship Program and state the number of members participating.
Describe the activities of the chapter that show support of the history of FCRV and state the number of members participating.
Describe the publicity the chapter has received through the media (newspaper, radio, TV coverage, etc.)
Describe the activity, the date(s) of the activities, what type of promotion it was and the number of members participating.
Every family in the chapter should display the FCRV logo on their rig. List dates promotions occurred, what type of promotion and number of members participating.
Describe the service activities the chapter has done in the community. List the dates of the activity and number of members participating. (Examples: working a community food bank, ringing bells for Salvation Army, making items for an organization that gives back to the community, donating blood, making lap pads for nursing homes, making teddy bears for a local children’s hospital).

Hank Nathan Lifetime Achievement Award

The Hank Nathan Lifetime Achievement Award is a special award  presented to presently living individuals who have rendered extraordinary service and devotion to the Family Campers and RVers. This service may include holding office, chairing and/or participation in programs, program development, and other similar activities performed during their membership years and their lifetime.

Award Guidelines: 

  • The criteria for the award will be based on a minimum of 25 years of consecutive membership and service to FCRV through development, promotion, maintenance, and participation in FCRV activities.
  • A maximum of one Lifetime Achievement Award may be awarded each year. The award will not be presented to anyone if no nominations are received or if those are not judged to meet the criteria established for the award. 
  • When completing this form, please include, Who, What, When, Where, How and Why as much as possible.

Award Procedures:

  • Nomination must be submitted on this form and received no later than April 15th
  • Each nomination must be received by at least twenty-five (25) members in good standing (current membership) who support the nomination.
  • The National FCRV Board of Trustees will evaluate each nomination and determine if, and to whom the award will be presented. Evaluations will be based on the criteria listed above. 
  • The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to the recipient at the Annual FCRV National Campvention. 
  • Should a nomination be made in the name of 2 people, and one passes away between the nomination time and award time, the nomination may stand in the name of both parties nominated.

Please fill in information for each category listing positions held and accomplishments at each level. Be specific. Individuals who work hard at the Chapter and State/Provincial level are very important to FCRV. Enough emphasis cannot be placed on the need to fill in each category. The number of nominations submitted for an individual is not as important as being thorough and complete for each category. Thank you.
