Event information:
Before lunch a group of us went over to the Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen to volunteer our services to feed the homeless. When we arrived at the soup kitchen the manager asked if we would like to hand out clothing to the homeless. We were delighted to. Volunteers who regularly work at the soup kitchen had donated clothing they no longer needed and needed a way to distribute it to the homeless. The Weekend Warriors stepped up and for 4 hours we distributed clothing to the homeless people of Pueblo. We were all grateful we could help and we look forward to the opportunity to do it again. Following this charitable activity, we headed over to the Pizza Ranch. This place is more known for its fantastic fried chicken than it is for its pizza. You can specially order your pizza at no extra charge and anything you don’t eat they put on the buffet line. Many people say it should have been called the Chicken Ranch because of its delicious chicken. It’s all you can it, so we waddled out of there when we were done.

The best and most rewarding part of our day was being able to help the homeless and anyone in need. It was truly the hi-light of everyone’s day. Everyone needs to experience the feeling you get when you help the needy. You will be blessed.
