Dear FCRV Families and Board of Trustees,
I’m so excited to finally be writing to you. First I want to thank all of you for the many prayers, cards and emails that I have received. I was just so amazed I had so many people thinking about me.
As many of you know one week after Campvention, I had a spinal fusion due to a congenital defect in my spine that took me off my regular game. However, two weeks after surgery I was able to ride up for the day to the Indiana State Summer Campout.
Now, six weeks later, I’m able to go to school and do moderate activities. Hopefully if all goes well I will be able to return to swimming and field hockey in six months.
I thank you all for a wonderful week in Amana, Iowa, this year and for all of the hard work that was put into making it such a great success. Although I haven’t gotten the chance to meet many of you, I appreciate all that you do and look forward to representing FCRV along with all of you. Since being crowned Miss FCRV, I have come to the understanding that I must fulfill many duties and continue the many traditions of the organization as the many trustees have done for so many years. I admire you all for your leadership and hope to follow closely in your footsteps this coming year. I thank you for making the 2013 Campvention one that I’ll never forget and for all of the support I have received from so many of you. I look forward to my responsibilities in the 2013-2014 year and to my opportunity to set an example for those who are the future of our organization. Thanks again for all you do, it is greatly appreciated.
